Following your consultation and if you are a candidate for a surgical treatment, an all inclusive cost will be quoted (covering medical material, hospital fees, anaesthetist fees and surgeon’s fee and any follow up consultations).

As an indication, for self-paying patients, the all inclusive cost for congenital curvature correction surgery starts at £5500.

Financing Options for Self-paying patients

We advise patients that prefer to use credit for their treatment one of the following options:

  • Credit Card

A lot of our patients find that the easiest and cheapest way to obtain financing is to apply for a 12-month interest free credit card. This would allow you to schedule your repayment period as you prefer and also not pay interest for a few months.

  • Personal loan from your bank

Typically your bank will provide you with a personal loan with a long repayment period and low interest rate and a fast decision. We understand that some patients might be reluctant to explain the reasons for the personal loan but the majority of the banks will not require extensive details other than saying that it is a medical loan.

  • Medical loan from a specialist financing company

If the above options are not attractive, then there are companies such as Freedom Finance (http://www.freedomfinance.co.uk/loans/medical-bills/) which broker specialist medical loans. They typically require 2 days for approval. In terms of process you would need to contact them directly, since we do not broker financing directly as it is a regulated activity.

What to expect

Every patient treated in our clinic will undergo our extensive diagnostic treatment protocol consisting of the following steps:

Initial consultation

During the initial consultation the patient answers a set of questionnaires that will assist the doctor to benchmark the severity of premature ejaculation and also identify any suspected underlying health issues.

After that, the doctor will obtain a detailed medical, personal and sexual history and proceed with an extensive general and genital physical examination.

Based on the above, your doctor will decide whether and what type of further investigations are required including blood tests, artificial erection test and imaging – typically these can be carried out on the same day of the initial consultation.

An integral part of this initial consultation is a discussion with you regarding specific risk factors based on the your history and the different treatment options available for your individual situation. For the majority of patients, an initial treatment plan will be recommended during this initial consultation.

Follow up consultations

Within 2 weeks of your initial consultation, a follow up will be scheduled to discuss and adjust your recommended treatment plan based on your tests results and any response to treatment at this point. This consultation can conducted remotely either over the phone or through a video-conferencing platform. After this, further quarterly (or as appropriate) consultations can be scheduled to evaluate the outcome of your specific treatment.
