Before the Procedure: Consultation and Assessment

Step by Step: The Appointment Itself
The procedure is performed in clinic, on an outpatient basis, and typically takes 30–60 minutes in total.
- Numbing. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the penile shaft and left to take effect, usually for 20–30 minutes. For additional comfort, local anaesthetic injection can also be used. By the time treatment begins, the area is substantially numbed.
- Marking and preparation. The clinician marks the treatment plan and prepares the area with antiseptic under sterile conditions.
- Cannula-based injection. Rather than multiple needle punctures, we use blunt-tipped cannulas introduced through one or two small entry points. This technique reduces discomfort, bruising, and the risk of vascular injury. Most men feel pressure and movement rather than sharp pain.
- Moulding. The clinician gently massages and moulds the filler along the shaft to ensure smooth, even distribution and a natural result.
- Review and aftercare. You are checked before leaving and given clear written aftercare instructions, with direct contact details for the clinical team.
So — Is It Painful?
Most patients rate discomfort as mild. The commonly reported sensations are:
- A brief sting from the local anaesthetic (a few seconds)
- Pressure or an unusual “movement” sensation as filler is placed
