What results can I expect from penis enlargement surgery?

Individual results depend on a patient’s anatomy but in general the following results are possible:

• Increase in flaccid state length of between 2-5 cm (1 to 2 in)
• Increase in erect state length (with extensively post-operative physiotherapy) of between 0.5 and 1 cm (up to 0.5 in)
• Increase in flaccid and erect penis circumference of 20-40%
• In crease in penis glans volume of 20-30%

The importance of post-operative care

Whereas penis enlargement is a minimally invasive surgery and you will be able to return to your daily routine the next day after your operation, post-operative care is of paramount importance. In fact, our doctors often say to patients that the surgery itself is only 50% of the treatment.

Following your operation you will be given very specific instructions and your surgeon and our patient co-ordination team will be in close contact with you over the next few weeks. It is very important that these instructions are closely followed, otherwise the result may not be optimum. In particular, you will be asked to do the following:

• Two weeks from the operation (unless advised otherwise) you will need to start penile stretching exercises (if you had a lengthening surgery) – this will prevent retraction of your penis and also allow you to gain further length in the erect state; the longer you do this, the better the results will be.

• If you had a girth enhancement with autologous fat injection, then you will need to massage your penile shaft gently on a daily basis for the next few weeks. This will increase the blood flow to the injected fat (meaning a higher percentage of the fat will remain permanently) and also even out the distribution.

• Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important; healing will be affected and particularly in the case of autologous fat injection for girth enhancement the amount of injected fat that will survive (and hence become a permanent gain in girth) will be affected by the lifestyle of the patient. For the next few months we advise our patients to avoid smoking (permanently is advised), excessive drinking and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
